{All About} Timelines

As a newly engaged bride-to-be, you’re probably getting a lot of advice {whether you want it or not}!

And while everyone means well, they might not actually know what they’re talking about! Especially when it comes to order timelines for your wedding gown!

No worries! We’re here to set it straight!

We always say ordering your gown at least a year in advance allows you to view all of your options and get any designer in on time! Gowns typically take 7-9 months to come in after you order, so you’ll want to make sure you’re also giving yourself enough time for alterations!

Our seamstresses ask our brides to start their alterations at least 10-12 weeks before the big day! That gives her enough time to nip, tuck, hem and bustle everything exactly the way you want it!

Have a shorter timeline and freaking out? Don’t!! Certain designers will have precut gowns in their portals for us to grab for brides getting married soon! We also have an amazing sister store, The One by Something Blue Bridal, that is strictly off-the-rack! Meaning you take the dress home with you the day you say “yes!” to the dress!

If you’re ever confused about order timelines, don’t hesitate to give us a call and we are happy to answer any questions you may have!!
