Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

Introducing our gorgeous bride, Connie!

For her September wedding, Connie looked absolutely amazing in her fitted, strapless gown by Allure Bridals!

The ruched bodice, layered bottom and long train are showstopping!

For her stunning flowers, Connie worked with The Flower Girl Company out of Chicago to create all of her gorg bouquets!

We’re so obsessed with how colorful this wedding is!

How did Connie and Stephen first meet?

“We met when we were 15! He skateboarded past me and yelled, "Hey girl, let me get your number," and as fate would have it, we had a mutual friend in common who formally introduced us at a later date.”

How did Stephen pop the question?

“He proposed two years ago, on his birthday - so I didn't suspect a thing! He said we were going to brunch with friends at Cafe Brauer located in Lincoln Park Zoo.  Our friends conveniently met us on the bridge and that is when he proposed.”

Was it a surprise or did she know it was coming?

“SURPRISE! :)”

After she got the ring, it was time to get the dress! How was Connie’s dress shopping experience?

“My experience with SBB was nothing short of amazing! The ladies here are helpful, accommodating and make the entire process seamless. Colleen was phenomenal to work with, she was patient, personable and made wedding dress shopping fun. Every wedding dress I tried on was absolutely stunning so I knew right away I was going to find the wedding dress of my dreams at Something Blue.”

How did she know her dress was "the one"?

“I knew it was the one, the second time I tried it on and could envision exactly how I wanted to look on the day of the wedding. I instantly had that giddy "this is the one" feeling.”

What was Connie’s fave part of the planning process?

“My favorite part of the wedding planning process were all the moments I spent with my Mom and Godmother. They were my backbone and support throughout the entire process and made planning fun.”

What about her not-so-favorite part?

“Planning the centerpieces, it made me anxious because I didn't have a vision no matter how many boards I pinned on Pinterest! Luckily, my Mom and Godmother took the reins and helped come up with ideas!”

Looking back, what is Connie’s favorite moment from the wedding?

“Hands down,  reading our vows to one another. To hear my husband wear his heart on his sleeve and express his love and commitment to me and our 3 beautiful boys was more than I could have asked for.”

What is the best piece of advice Connie can give brides-to-be who are currently planning their big day?

“Trust God. There will be moments when you feel infinitely happy, stressed, anxious and maybe even upset, but if you always put God as your focal point and pray through everything you will feel peace. Everything will turn out exactly how God intended.”

Congratulations, Connie + Stephen!
