She is SO gorgeous!!

Introducing our beautiful bride, Karoline!

For her summer wedding, Karoline rocked a fit and flare gown from Enzoani!

The dress was amazing, but when she added off-the-shoulder straps and a cathedral veil from Essense Designs, it was PERFECT!

When it came to flowers, Karoline worked with Infinity Event Productions to create all of her stunning arrangements!

Karoline and her hubby, Adam, were married in a beautiful indoor ceremony at Venuti’s Restaurant and Banquet Hall in Addison, IL!

After the newlyweds sealed it with a kiss, everyone went into the reception hall to celebrate!

Can we take a second to appreciate that amazing flower wall?? SO good!

How did these lovebirds first meet?

“We met on September 15, 2012 at the Horseshoe Casino! I was working in one of the bars as a server for the first time. When I saw him, I thought he was the "equipment man" or a "back up" DJ because he was working alongside the DJ. Turns out, he was neither of those. He was just hanging out with his brother. I thought he was cute, my friend told him I thought he was cute, and at the end of the night, he gave me his phone number. I did not text him until a week later and really only texted him because I knew I would run into him the following weekend and I didn't want it to be "awkward". So I texted him who I was and the rest was history.”

How did Adam pop the question?

I was proposed to on Thanksgiving- November 26, 2021. It was a TOTAL surprise. We went to California for Thanksgiving that year and he was going to meet my family for the first time so no way did I think it was going to happen then. My immediate family and I got up after dinner to thank everyone for coming together especially after COVID and Adam, my fiancé at the time also wanted to say a few words and thank everyone and then it happened. I was so shocked, my face says it all in photos and videos. I remember being in that moment and it was like I blurred out anyone who was around us in that moment. I still remember to this day word for word what he said to me when he asked me to marry him. It was perfect.”

And that’s when the stars aligned and Karoline walked through our doors! How was her dress shopping experience?

“It was amazing! Something Blue Bridal was the second store I went to and I knew right away I would find something there. But to be honest, it was Shannon my stylist that made the entire experience unforgettable. She was AMAZING! Literally, made me feel so comfortable, listened to what I wanted to try on, gave me all kind of dresses to try on to help narrow down my search, and honestly was just my hype girl. I would 10/10 recommend anyone who is going to Something Blue Bridal to make an appointment with Shannon!”

How did she know her dress was "the one"??

“To be quite honest I was really in between 2 dresses. I went home to sleep on it and what really helped me decide and what I would recommend to a bride, is for someone to take pictures of you in the dresses! As the bride, the last thing I'm thinking about is taking pictures of myself as I'm trying on all these dresses but my mom was taking photos and when I went home and looked back at some of the dresses I tried on, they just pictured differently. When I went back to try the two dresses on again, I just knew she was the one. She looked the best in photos and when tried her on, I knew she was meant for me.”

What was her favorite {and not-so-favorite} part of the planning process?

“I didn't have a maid of honor or a bridal party so I pretty much planned our wedding on my own. It was a lot of me asking friends how they did this and that but I do have to admit, what made it so easy and less stressful was that my husband, fiancé at the time said "You pick, I pay". I mean what woman wouldn't want to hear those words?? And if I had to pick, the food tasting was probably my favorite part! Haha!

My least favorite part was putting together the guest list. We wanted to have a small, intimate wedding and really only wanted to invite those that meant something to us. I think we ended up having a total of maybe 65-70 people at our wedding and although it was the least favorite thing to do- narrow down our list and be picky about who we were going to invite, it honestly was the best thing ever. Our wedding felt so intimate, we remember every single person that was there, we got to interact with everyone and everyone there was special to us.”

What was your favorite moment of your wedding?

“This is a hard one because there were literally so many special and favorite moments I was lucky enough to experience that day. I would have to say, when the doors opened for me to walk down the aisle. For a few moments I stood at the doorway by myself before my father joined me to walk me down the aisle. Literally, I remember hearing a "gasp" from the guests when the doors opened. Seeing my husband standing at the end of the aisle for me was really special. We did not do a first look and I loved that we kept that traditional. I wanted the first time he saw me and kissed me on that day to be walking down the aisle and announcing us as husband and wife. (I was so nervous!) I also loved that we had no bridal party, we shared a beautiful sweetheart table together and the focus was just on him and I the entire day.”

Does Karoline have any words of wisdom she can give brides-to-be who are currently planning their big day?

“Remember that this day is for you and your fiancé! Don't forget the true meaning of what this day represents. Invite who you want, don't let the pressure of family members dictate your decisions. Have fun along the way. Enjoy and soak up every single moment and experience along the way especially on the wedding day because the day goes by so fast!”

Congratulations, Karoline + Adam!
