Stunning!!

Introducing our beautiful bride, Morgan!

For her December wedding, Morgan looked magical in a fitted, custom Martina Liana gown!

The details on this dress, from the 3D flowers to the sparkling lace, are just so gorgeous!

Morgan worked with Prairie Honey Floral Studio out of Lombard to create all of her beautifully classic bouquets!

Before the ceremony, Morgan and her soon-to-be hubby, Matt, shared one of the cutest first looks together!

Morgan and Matt were married in a beautiful ceremony at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel!

We particularly loved the flower girls’ sweet ride down the aisle!

After the newlyweds said “I do”, everyone headed into the ballroom for the reception!

“The best moment was when Matt and I finished our first dance and then everyone joined us on the dance floor. I knew I could finally breathe and that it was time to enjoy having everyone we loved together in one room.”

How did Morgan first meet Matt?

“We met on the Hinge dating app in 2018.”

How did Matt pop the question?

“Matt took me to the Museum of Science and Industry for the "Christmas Around the World" exhibit. We have never been to any of the museums in Chicago before, and he was hoping to propose at a place I would least expect. There was a photographer in front of the main entryway tree so he asked the photographer to take a picture and then when I was looking at the camera he got down on one knee.”

Was it a surprise or did she know it was coming?

“It was definitely a surprise! We had never gone ring shopping, but we talked about getting married a lot so I hoped it was coming in the near future, but the time and place was DEFINITELY a surprise.”

After the big proposal, it was time for Morgan to say “yes!” to the dress!

“I had gone to 3 stores in Indiana and Illinois for appointments made on a Friday and Saturday in February 2022. I tried on at least a hundred dresses. There was a dress I really liked at one of the stores but wasn't able to get a feel for how it would actually look on me because of the size they had available. My best friend (who also got her dress from Something Blue Bridal) said she would call Something Blue and see if they have the same dress in a smaller size. I was hesitant about Something Blue because EVERYONE(!!!) I know gets their dress from there so I was trying to find something "different". I had been to Something Blue for 4 other brides previously!  When my best friend called that Saturday, they said I could come in right then and there to try on THE ONE dress that was available in a smaller size because a bride had just cancelled her appointment. I tried on the one dress that I went there to try and I know immediately it wasn't for me. I shared the style I was looking for with the amazing Something Blue team member, Celine, and she shared that they had received 3 new Martina Liana dresses. I tried on all 3 and was obsessed with all of them but knew "the one" IMMEDIATELY. The entire team, especially Celine and Sandy, were incredible to work with and truly helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Now I know why everyone goes to Something Blue because they truly are the absolute best!”

How did she know her dress was "the one"?

“It was exactly what I was looking for and made me feel more beautiful that I've ever felt when I tried it on! I wanted form fitting with an intricate train and the ability to add sleeves and that is exactly what my Martina Liana dress was!”

What was Morgan favorite part of the planning process and why?

“The best part of planning was when the planning was over! :) But in the whole process of it, I truly felt like finding my dress was the very best part and then finding my husband's tuxedo and bridesmaids dresses.”

What about her least favorite part?

“The coordination of every detail to ensure the wedding was exactly how I dreamt it would be and envisioned in my head. This brought so much anxiety and was more time consuming than anything!”

What is the best piece of advice Morgan can give brides-to-be who are currently planning their big day?

“My two biggest pieces of advice are 1.) get sleep after the rehearsal dinner. It's hard to do when so many of your favorite people are together to celebrate you but to ensure an amazing wedding day - ditch the bar or the last glass of wine and go get some much needed sleep! 2.) Take deep breaths and share your ceremony and reception timeline with your family members and bridal party. You spend a lot of time planning and scheduling out speeches, dances, etc. with your photographer and DJ so make sure the key players in your big day know the timeline to ensure you get all the pictures and dancing that you could ever want on your big day! (Remember its YOUR day).”

Congratulations, Morgan + Matt!! Happy 1st Anniversary!
