Isn’t she so stunning??
Introducing our beautiful bride, Annika!
For her November wedding, Annika looked absolutely gorgeous in a fitted, off-the-shoulder gown by Essense of Australia!
The lace details in this gown are everything! She paired it with a pearl cathedral length veil by Giselle Bridal, earrings from Bel Aire Bridal and a faux fur shawl all from Something Blue!

The florals for Annika’s wedding were so pretty, all thanks to Honey and Sage Floral Studio in West Lafayette, IN!
We love the pops of thistle!
Annika included photo charms in her bouquet of her loved ones who have passed on. Such a special way to honor their memory!
Annika and her very soon-to-be husband, Jacob, shared a very sweet first look before the ceremony.
Jacob’s reaction is priceless!

How did the happy couple first meet?
“We met move in weekend of college at Indiana State University.”
How did Jacob pop the question?
“Jacob proposed to me by taking me to our favorite restaurant and going to a flower field. After we were done making our bouquets, he proposed!”
Did Annika have any idea it was coming??
“It was kind of a surprise. He thinks it was a complete surprise, but I was a little suspicious but also thrown off.”
After she got the ring, it was time to find her dress!
“My dress buying experience was absolutely amazing. I was struggling making a decision because what I originally wanted wasn’t what fit my personality and style the best. Something Blue Bridal helped me really narrow down my decision. I never felt rushed to make a decision and everyone made me feel so comfortable!”
How did Annika know her dress was “the one”?
“It was really hard knowing which dress was the one. What really sealed the deal was seeing my dad tear up the moment I walked out in that dress. I thought it would be fun to have him tag along once or twice dress shopping. But seeing my mom and him look at me sealed the deal. I also loved every single little detail about the dress, the little sparkle, pearls, and vintage lace.”
What was Annika’s favorite {and least fave} part of the wedding planning process?
“My favorite part about the planning process was watching my little girl dreams come true. Being able to do it with my mom, sister, mother-in-law, sister-in-laws, best friend, and aunt was the cherry on top. Best part of planning was picking out my dress and all the details of the ceremony.
My least favorite part was figuring out vendors for a city I did not grow up in, currently live in, or know anyone from. With all of that to say all of my vendors were absolutely amazing!!!”
Looking back, what is her favorite memory from her big day?
“It is so hard to say what my favorite moment of my wedding day. The big one, marrying my best friend, but also the moments in between, sitting in the small closet type room with my dad before he walked me down the aisle, laughing with all my girls and mom while getting ready, all the grooms and ushers helping me walk through a field, and all the fun at the reception.”
Does Annika have any words of wisdom for brides who are currently in the throes of wedding planning?
“The best piece of advice I can give, don’t sweat the details know one will know what you wanted to do vs what you were able to do. During the week of your wedding let someone else handle all the problems or issues that may arise, as much as you may want to control things I promise it will work out just enjoy this once in a lifetime moment.”
Congratulations, Annika and Jacob!!
