We are so happy to introduce you to our beautiful bride, Jacquelyn!

For her late summer wedding, Jacquelyn looked so gorgeous in a strapless Stella York gown paired with off-the-shoulder straps from Essense Designs!

She looked absolutely stunning!

Jacquelyn and her hubby, Brian, were married in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at The Barn at Meadow Brook in Goshen, Indiana!

The reception was held inside the barn and decorated with drapery, lanterns and greenery!

How did Jacquelyn and Brian first meet?

“Fate has a funny way of working out. I casually met Brian 15 years ago at a local hometown restaurant ‘Between the Buns’. Little did I know, the man I met that day through mutual friends, would become my future husband.”

How did Brian pop the question?

“It was on Christmas at his parents house. His parents were there, My mom was there, his brothers and their families were there and our 3 kids were there. He made an announcement that we were all going to take pictures in front of the Christmas tree. He knows I love pictures so no problem getting me to do that. He played “all I want for Christmas is you” on the TV and then he got down on one knee and asked if I would be his wife.”

Was it a surprise or did Jacquelyn know it was coming?

“It was a total surprise! I was shocked. Tears of joy ran down my face. He put a lot of thought into my ring as he picked it out himself. He engraved the date of our first official date inside. I think everyone knew in the family but me.”

After she secured the ring, it was time for Jacquelyn to secure the dress!

“Something Blue Bridal was the third place my mom and I went to. We went to two places locally and found dresses I liked a lot there, I just wasn’t totally in love with. When we came to Something Blue, I loved two of them. I tried them both on again and when I went close to the mirror to really take a good look at the one I was leaning toward getting, I cried. I looked at my mom and she agreed with tears in her eyes. That’s when we knew we had found the one.”

What was her favorite part of the wedding planning process?

“My favorite part of the planning is all the time I got to spend with my future husband, mom, bridal party, and friends that helped me make decisions on things. It was a lot of work but we made it so fun together.”

What about her least favorite part?

“I actually miss all the planning. Even though I was stressed about it there was so much excitement built up and now that it’s over I miss it.”

What was Jacquelyn’s favorite moment from her wedding day?

“My favorite part was our ceremony. Saying our vows to each other (after I stopped crying and could get them out). My stepson was his best man and our littles were the flower girl and ring bearer.”

Finally, what is the best piece of advice Jacquelyn can give brides-to-be who are currently planning their own big day?

“All the hard work will pay off. When I looked out the barn window to see everything come together, I got goosebumps and teared up. Leave your phone with a trusted person so you can thoroughly enjoy your day. I let the photographer and others take pictures so I could enjoy every minute. It goes fast, so ladies, take a deep breath, relax, and take it all in. Even if things go wrong, which they may, enjoy your special day to its fullest with your husband, family and friends.”

Congratulations, Jacquelyn + Brian!!
