Introducing our beautiful bride, Tori!
For her summer wedding, Tori looked absolutely stunning in a textured ballgown by Martina Liana and a veil by Bel Aire Bridal!

Before heading down the aisle, Tori and her hubby, Matt, shared a sweet first look together!

Tori and Matt were married in a lovely outdoor ceremony at The Monte Bello Estate in Lemont, IL!

After the happy couple said “I do”, it was time to celebrate inside with a gorgeous reception!

How did the newlyweds first meet?
“We both had no dates to one of our high school dances, so a mutual friend had set us up to go together. We talked and danced all night long, then ended up dating a few months later! My high school sweetheart.”
How did Matt pop the question?
“We’ve been living in Frankfort for the past 4 years, it’s became our home from the very beginning. It was Christmas Eve and we were heading to my sisters for brunch. We both got ready and stopped for coffee on the way. After we picked up our coffee Matt told me he forgot a gift and we have to go back home. It wasn’t until he pulled into the local park instead of driving straight to our apartment that I had a feeling something was going on! He told me we had to get out of the car and walk a little bit. As we walked up to a gazebo in the park, there was light up letters saying marry me with rose petals all around. He popped the question and planned a surprise lunch out with our family and friends!”
After she got the ring, it was time for Tori to get the dress!
“I actually found my wedding dress online prior to coming to Something Blue. My sisters both got their dress from this boutique and had such a wonderful experience! I knew my dress had to be there as well. When I found this dress online, I saw Something Blue had the same designer at their store! I had a very open mind going into the appointment and tried on a few different styles, but once I tried that dress on I knew nothing could compare to it! I wanted to put it back on immediately and that’s how I knew it was the ONE!”
What was her favorite part of the wedding planning process?
“Redoing my mom’s wedding dress and wearing it as my change out reception dress! She came to every appointment to see the progress it was such a special moment to share with her.”
What about her least favorite part?
“This is probably super common but the day goes by so fast we weren’t able to try our sweet table or late night food!! We upgraded both last minute and were soo excited to have them. Oh well!!!”
What is Tori’s favorite moment from her wedding?
“All of the first dances we shared at our wedding. Between us, my dad and surprising my mom with her own mother daughter dance, every one was so special and memorable! Also seeing our dance floor full all night long!!”
What is the best piece of advice she can give brides-to-be who are currently planning their own big day?
“Take everything day by day!! It’s so overwhelming at first thinking of all the things that have to be done! Not everything has to be done right away, there is always time!”
