How did the happy couple first meet?
“We met on a dating app, Tinder, during the beginning of the pandemic!”
How did Andrew pop the question?
“Originally, we were supposed to go to this bed and breakfast getaway in Indiana, but I ended up getting Covid the week of, so my fiancé decided on plan B and he proposed in our condo in-front of our Christmas tree on Christmas Eve. It was still very magical, and felt way more intimate just the two of us.”
Was it a surprise or did Danielle know it was coming?
“I knew it was coming because my mom was adamant on me getting my nails done by a certain date ha! So, I knew it was imminent, just not specifically when.”
Moving on to our next {and favorite} topic: dress shopping!
“It was a wonderful experience! Everyone was so friendly, supportive, and they had options for someone like me, who at the time was plus sized. I went two different times and I ended up finding my dress as it was the first one I tried on, and it made me cry. I had to look at other options just to make sure, but I kept coming back to that first dress, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it and picturing it for our big day.”
How did she know her dress was "the one"?
“When I put it on, it felt as though it was made for me, the dress fit me like a glove and made me feel beautiful, sexy and it matched my fall theme with the roses and flowers on it. It just felt like me, and I knew my husband would love it.”
What was Danielle’s favorite part of the planning process?
“My favorite part was spending time with my family and friends planning my special day and being able to marry my best friend.
What about her least favorite part?
“Wedding planning is really hard and honestly I hated most of it! Ha! But, there is just a lot of moving pieces and money constraints that had a handle on things that made it very stressful, if I could go back and afford a planner, I would.”
Now that the wedding is said and done, what is Danielle’s favorite memory from her special day?
“My favorite moment from my wedding was walking down the aisle and seeing my husband at the end, smiling and crying, and knowing that I was going to be a Franzen, made me so happy. Also, of course the food and dancing as well!”
Does Danielle have any words of wisdom for brides-to-be who are currently planning their own wedding?
“It is so much easier said then done, but do not stress the small things, and truly enjoy your big day. Not everything is going to be perfect but it will be in your vision :). Also, try not to stress out the morning of, make sure to eat a big breakfast, drink a ton of water, and eat snacks so you don’t burn out before the big event. The day goes so fast, so try to truly soak it all in.”
Congratulations, Danielle + Andrew!!
