Oh we love this bride so much!
Introducing our beautiful bride, Eden!
For her fall wedding, Eden looked absolutely stunning in a fitted Essense of Australia gown!
The large floral appliques and sparkle make this gown a total showstopper! Paired with a matching Essense veil? She looked perfect!!

Eden’s flowers are SO pretty - all thanks to For the Love of Lilacs in Highland, Indiana!
The shades of purple are everything!
Before it was go time, Eden and her very soon-to-be hubby, Rob, wanted to share a special first look together.
His reaction? Adorable!

After the newlyweds made things official, everyone headed inside for a gorgeous reception!

How did the newlyweds first meet?
“Oh we absolutely love to tell people this story because it’s so special to us! Our love story begins in the late summer of 2019. Our workplaces were next door to each other. Nothing more than smiles and the occasional hello were exchanged...until I (Eden) met Rob’s daughters, Ava & Olivia, by accident one day. The girls seemed to easily warm up to me in our short interaction. Rob told me that he immediately knew something just felt right. Rob asked his boss if he could pull some strings and get me invited to their upcoming work-sponsored golf outing—to which he gladly obliged! Rob had this entire plan on how to approach me, what to say, and how to impress me with his golf skills. Before he could even make his move, I was standing next to him complimenting him on his golf socks and the ice was broken. This turned into a day of laughter, butterflies, smiles, jokes, tequila, and lots of glitter. Most importantly, it sealed the deal for us. We wouldn’t change a single thing.”
How sweet is that?? How did Rob pop the question?
“Rob planned a beautiful dinner at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas on November 4, 2021. After dinner, he took me to the top of the Paris Hotel Skydeck, overlooking the entire city. There, he got down on one knee and asked me if I would continue living life and enjoying every moment and amazing adventure as Mrs. Sotak. It was a beautiful, touching moment that we got to share together.”
Was it a surprise or did she know it was coming?
“It was definitely a surprise. We had taken a couple of trips in 2021 and I was secretly hoping he would pop the question during each trip. This was our last trip of the year and the most unsuspecting to me! Later on, I told him that I always had my hair, nails, and makeup done for every moment that I thought he was going to propose! Thank god that night was one of them!”
Once she was home it was time to plan a wedding - and say yes to the dress!
“I have stepped into Something Blue so many times as a bridesmaid, a friend. I always knew this is where I wanted to be a bride. Everything was seamless! All of the girls are SO amazing and helpful. I enjoyed my experience trying on different styles, being able to return to the store to make my final decisions, and being able to customize my dress to exactly how I envisioned it!”
How did Eden know her dress was "the one"?
“I happened to see ‘’my” dress featured on the SBB Instagram on Wedding Gown Wednesday… posted on my BIRTHDAY! It was the only dress that I had said to myself “wow I need to try that on!” I tried it on and instantly knew it was the one. And the veil was a perfect match! I’m a sucker for a long veil.”
We are, too!
What was Eden’s favorite part of the planning process?
“Being able to see our vision come to life! We booked our venue 2 years in advance, so we got a chance to work through it without feeling rushed. I did a lot of DIY-ing and thrifting, it was a fun learning experience and great to be in the middle of all the excitement!”
What about her least favorite part?
“Sending out invitations. Choosing who to share your special day with is a really hard aspect of wedding planning that not a lot of people talk about! If I could have invited everyone, I definitely would have haha, so putting a cap on it was very difficult.”
What was her favorite moment from the wedding?
“There were SO MANY amazing, unforgettable moments. Our ceremony was so special with our vows to each other and the girls. We also took a tequila shot before we said “I do!” Our entrance, our first dance. The food, the ICE CREAM TRUCK! The dancing! Every bit of it was amazing and I wish I could re-live it!”
What is the best piece of advice Eden can give brides-to-be who are currently planning their own big day?
“Do what YOU want! Not what mom, grandma, Instagram, Pinterest, or what the girl from high school is doing. This is about you and your spouse and your special love! It doesn’t have to make sense to anyone else to be perfect for you!”
Such great advice!! Congratulations, Eden and Rob!!
