Introducing our stunning bride, Marissa!

For her October elopement in Yosemite, Marissa wore a fitted gown by Essense of Australia!

The dramatic train looked so gorgeous against the setting!

We are also absolutely in LOVE with Marissa’s beautiful bouquet that she bought off Etsy!

Before Marissa and her soon-to-be hubby, Kodie, could elope, they first had to hike to the ceremony spot!

Once the hike was done, Marissa and Kodie eloped, exchanging vows in one of the most beautiful settings we have ever seen!

How did fate bring Marissa and Kodie together?

"We met at work 9 years ago!”

How did Kodie pop the question?

“He proposed on Christmas at home! He wasn’t in a rush to get married so it was a surprise!”

After getting the ring, it was time to find the perfect dress!

“Shopping was a great experience! I came in looking for a particular dress, but then came back to buy a different one. I found my dress on the second visit when I was given the opportunity to try on a few more and it was a perfect mixture between the dress I originally wanted and the one I had returned to buy!”

How did she know her dress was “the one”??

“Because it combined all the features I liked of all the other dresses I tried on!

What was Marissa’s favorite {and least fave} part of planning her wedding?

“My favorite part of planning was NOT planning anything for anyone else and only doing what we wanted to do!

My least favorite part of planning was never having been there before and not knowing exactly what to expect!”

What was Marissa’s favorite part of her big day?

“I loved spending the day together and doing whatever we felt like, spur of the moment tacos for lunch, seeing other couples elope, being able to stop and watch paragliders, etc.”

Does Marissa have any words of wisdom for current brides-to-be?

"Plan your wedding for yourselves, not for what you think someone else wants or expects.”
