Introducing our beautiful bride, Staci!
For her September wedding, Staci visited our sister store The One by Something Blue Bridal!
It was there where she found her stunning, fitted gown from our very own Private Label, Emilia Leray!

Instead of traditional florals, Staci and her bridesmaids carried bouquets of wood flowers made by Sola Wood!

Staci and her hubby, Ty, were married in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Wellfield Botanic Gardens in Elkhart!

After the vows were swapped, it was time to celebrate!
The beautiful reception was held at Hotel Elkhart, and was where Staci’s favorite moment of the night happened:
“During our first dance, we danced to the song “Iris” by The Goo Goo Dolls and for the final chorus, my husband had the idea to have everyone sing along and they did and it was magical and so unique.”

How did the newlyweds meet?
“We worked at Buca di Beppo together and were friends for over a year before we realized how much we talk to each other and fit so well together!”
How did Ty pop the question?
“We were on a double date at Brookfield Zoo and when we got to our favorite animal (African painted wild dogs) we posed for a picture and he got down on one knee! Then, both of our families came out and started cheering!”
Was it a surprise or did Staci know it was coming?
“I knew the proposal was coming because he was acting so weird the weeks leading up to it, but I had no idea both of our families would be there for it, and absolutely no idea about the surprise engagement party he planned and had ready for us when we got home with even more family!”
How was Staci’s experience looking for her gorgeous gown?
“My dress buying experience was the best thing ever and I was only slightly bummed I found my dress after my first appointment because of how much fun I had!! I believe Amber was my consultant and she was AMAZING and so helpful! She didn’t rush me at all and was giving advice on styles and let me put my top two dresses back on when it came to deciding!”
How did she know her dress was "the one"?
“The dress was on a mannequin in the window and was shining because it was sparkly and we asked if I could try on a dress from the mannequin and was told “absolutely!” And it was the first dress I tried on. I loved it! When deciding between that one and another, I just kept going back to this one. And then when we checked out, I saw that the name of the dress on the paperwork was Stella which has been a name I’ve loved for years so I had that extra confirmation that it was the one!”
What was Staci’s favorite part of the wedding planning process?
“Being able to share the experience with my family every step of the way, including the stressful moments and of course the exciting ones!”
What about her not-so-favorite part?
“The constant decisions for things that didn’t seem important to me like the folds of the napkin for the dinner plates.”
Does Staci have any advice for brides-to-be who are currently planning their own big day?
“Make the shot list for your photographer!! There were pictures that before the wedding we thought “there’s no way we could’ve missed a picture with them, they’re so important to us!” But we missed multiple pictures with people who are very important to us!”
Congratulations, Staci & Ty!!
